What more could a fashion and feline loving gal want?

It was love at first sight when I came across this mesh and sequin meow crop. It's everything I love rolled into one! Although I purchased it almost immediately, sadly it's been living on a hanger for months. Too sheer on its own. Too cute to cover up. Dilemma!

I didn't think another layer of mesh would really help the situation, but I'm glad I I tried it out and proved myself wrong. Now that I've worn these two together I think they're paired for life!

Despite the fact that my top is CAT THEMED (did I mention I love cats?), I think I'm somehow just as excited about my new shoes. They are SUPER comfy and definitely a new go to shoe for uni. Just wearing them makes me want to run around and be active!

Happy 2014!

I know I'm a little late on the new year's greetings but I've been off on a little holiday to Melbourne!

These shots were taken on a perfect, sunny afternoon outing to the Melbourne Museum and the gorgeous adjoining Carlton Gardens.

For my first post of the year I thought it would be fitting to show off a little post-christmas/new year present I treated myself to, one that I'd been longing after for much of 2013 - this AMAZING orca snow globe tee by Emma Mulholland. 

How could I ever resist a sequinned killer whale?

As for my metallic headwear, I'd been meaning to buy an Oliver visor for ages and then Sharee had a crazy 50% off sale online around christmas so this rad silver one became another christmas treat to-me-from-me!

The final freshly purchased item is my super cool fuchsia neoprene clutch by Witu, which I fell for instantly when I popped into Alice Euphemia - one of my favourite Melbourne boutiques.

I couldn't resist wearing all of my super fun newbies at once - no regrets!

TOPSHOP TOPMAN Brisbane Launch Party!

TOPSHOP & TOPMAN HAVE FINALLY OPENED IN BRISBANE!

The 2200sqm store on the corner of Brisbane city's Albert and Elizabeth streets, which spans over three levels, is Australia's biggest yet! So it's no surprise that the fashionable guys and gals of Brisbane were a tad excited (to say the least) about the opening.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I was the lucky recipient of a double pass to the launch party which took place in-store the night before the store officially opened to the public!

I took my gorgeous Topshop loving friend Rebecca along with me and we had two hours to shop our hearts out with endless champagne, cider, and canapés on the house, as well as a complimentary voucher to get us started! Is there any other way to shop?

I tried on just about every sparkly and shiny thing in the store but managed to exercise some self control (I'm meant to be saving) and walked away with only a single purchase (for now) - this gorgeous pink sequinned crop top.

After thoroughly investigating every rack of clothing, we posed for some piccies and called it night,  but I have no doubts I'll be back for more very soon (maybe once they stop needing security guards to manage the constant line of people outside the store!)

A New Aje

Last week I was invited to attend the VIP Launch Party for the new Aje store at Westfield Carindale.

Aje is fast becoming one of my favourite labels. All of their pieces are so delicately crafted with amazing attention to fine details, like their signature hand sewn sequin designs. A little piece of Aje will cost you a pretty penny but it's well worth it, they're definitely investment pieces - they're high quality and stunning wardrobe classics you'll keep coming back to.

For the night I decided to wear my own little Aje treasure, the gorgeous corsair sequinned top (old season but you can still find it online at Maximillia and Joy Hysteric), which I'm finding hard to resist wearing every time I go out.

The night consisted of a little instore party complete with live music, punch, photographers, a visit from the designers, and a VIP discount for all the Aje lovers in attendance! I tried on a few of their new pieces and am now totally lusting over the roaming free skirt and the scarlet cropped top. Definitely adding them to the Christmas wishlist.

When I stepped into Topshop and Topman's Oxford Circle flagship store in London while I was travelling last year, I swear my world changed.
It was heaven. Levels upon levels upon levels of heaven.
There was so much to-die-for stock I think I spent nearly 6 hours in there. 

Topshop is an all-time fave for me because they're constantly on the cutting edge of the trends and make so many out-there but totally wearable pieces AND I can actually afford them!

I'm currently obsessing over anything and everything pale blue, pale pink, silver, sequinned, mesh or marabou feathers, and as you can see, Topshop totally has me covered.

So I couldn't be more excited that
Topshop and Topman are finally coming to BRISBANE!

To top it off, it'll be the biggest store in Australia. YAY!
