Monday night I received a parcel pick-up slip. Tuesday morning I went straight to the post office.
With such exciting contents, I just couldn't resist taking a few snaps of my new treasure before I headed of to uni for the day.

I bought this adorable cartoon print shirt from Front Row Shop a few weeks ago, on the very first day it went up online. The colourful little scribbles were just too much to resist! So of course I had to wear it the same day it arrived.

Crazy B'Day Kicks

Kenzo flatforms MoonSpoon Buffalo Topshop

This weekend just past I celebrated the very special milestone of turning 21!
Although I only had a small get-together with close family and friends, I wanted to be able to go all-out with my outfit for the occasion, so I decided on a 'Streets of Tokyo' theme and advised all of my guests to dress in their craziest Tokyo street style inspired outfits.
Everyone looked hilariously great, and hopefully I'll have some party piccies up soon, but the real stars of my outfit were my ridiculous (but amazing) flatform sneakers.

I spied them on Topshop a month or two ago and just couldn't help myself, they were too perfect to resist. I couldn't believe my luck when I stumbled across these vibrant rainbow shoelaces in a box of my old stuff just a day before the party, it was the crazy combo of my dreams.

As if one pair of crazy shoes wasn't enough for the night, my older brother gave me these amazing blue/green animal print flatform sandals by KENZO, which I had been lusting after forever - I'm kind of still pinching myself.

OOTD: Strap In, Stand out

OOTD Nasty Gal Atom Smasher Jumper orange pinafore Miista May silver boots

I have been infatuated with overalls and pinafore dresses ever since I spotted the cutest little burgundy corduroy pinafore in the Oxford Street Topshop store back in November. Despite my instant infatuation, I didn't commit to the purchase as I needed to save my pennies if I was going to make it through the rest of my Euro trip, however my lust did not go away.

Overalls and pinafores have become a huge trend since, so i've found myself looking for something in the fabulous playful style that would still manage to stand out in the sea of dungarees.

Nasty Gal provided the perfect solution in the form of this statement orange pinafore with chunky plastic buckles. I was hesitant to purchases it at first, as it is kind of outrageous, but I took the plunge and I love it!

I'm wearing: orange pinafore from Nasty Gal, black 'Ghastly' collared shirt from Dangerfield, and Miista May ankle boots in silver from Solestruck.

OOTD: Picnic in Pink

fashion blog ootd hot pink vintage silk pants

With exams finished and uni finally over for the semester (YAY!), what better activity to start the holidays with than an afternoon of smiles and snacks with all my friends I had been missing during the semester.

We got together for a cute little Sunday afternoon picnic in Southbank, but sadly the purpose of the event was to say farewell to a friend who will be heading off to Mexico until early next year - adiós Clare!

To counter my sadness over Clare's impending departure, I picked out the brightest piece of clothing I could find in my wardrobe - these HOT PINK vintage silk pants
I came across these little treasures a few years ago in an antique shop in Paddington and couldn't believe my luck. They're super comfy, in perfect condition, and all the little details (especially the gemstone buttons!) are divine. They've been hiding away in the sea of clothes that is my wardrobe for far too long and I'm so glad I decided to take them out for a spin; it was near impossible not to feel happy while wearing them.

I paired them with my striped mesh crop by Glamorous from ASOS, my brand new chelsea ankle boots from ASOS, and my Graz x Ellery Quixote catseye sunglasses from Optiko.

Gifts from Afar.

While I was at home stressing over midsemester exams last week, my jet-setting parents were off living it up on a short trip to Tokyo! My parents usually don't dare attempt to buy me gifts while they're away, my taste is a complete mystery to them and it's usually better for everyone to just avoid the inevitable disappointment of giving/receiving a way off the mark present. But this time Mum was shopping with a group of other mothers who were all buying gifts to shower their daughters with so I guess she joined in to avoid the guilt, and I'm glad she did!

Tokyo is #1 on my list of places where I would like to spend all of my money. The infinite range of eclectic items practically has me drooling, and Mum did a pretty great job picking our some cute things for me.

She nabbed me two pairs of super bright, cropped, printed pants from UNIQLO, and heaps of socks in adorable prints. The sheer ones with fruits and stars are my absolute favourites and I can't wait to take them for a test drive with my oxfords and jelly sandals!
