Holiday Playsuit

I put together this outfit for a spontaneous 'adventure day' with some pals last week. We weren't sure where we were going or what we were doing so I decided to dress down a little and go for practicality and fun! We ended up at the Brisbane Botanic Gardens at Mount Coot-tha and had cute little picnic by the lake.

I'm wearing: Floral overalls from Verge Girl, grey merino wool top from Glassons, maroon Deena & Ozzy boots from Urban Outfitters, thrifted felt hat, and Graz x Ellery Quixote catseye sunglasses from Optiko.

OOTD: Iridescent Bomber

Finally I don a bomber jacket!

In keeping with the current sports luxe trend, bombers are the in-thing in outerwear this season. 

I was definitely skeptical at first; no matter your figure, it seems hard to find one that flatters. 

Luckily the sheer factor is here to keep us looking stylish without making us look extra chunky.

 This bomber also combines another two of my favourite trends at the moment - dazzling iridescent fabrics, and white, the colour of the season. I'm in love with the gorgeous iridescent shimmer of greens,
golds, and blues that you see when the sun hits it, and it has a brilliant lightness to it.

OOTD: Strap In, Stand out

I have been infatuated with overalls and pinafore dresses ever since I spotted the cutest little burgundy corduroy pinafore in the Oxford Street Topshop store back in November. Despite my instant infatuation, I didn't commit to the purchase as I needed to save my pennies if I was going to make it through the rest of my Euro trip, however my lust did not go away. 

Overalls and pinafores have become a huge trend since, so i've found myself looking for something in the fabulous playful style that would still manage to stand out in the sea of dungarees. 

Nasty Gal provided the perfect solution in the form of this statement orange pinafore with chunky plastic buckles. I was hesitant to purchases it at first, as it is kind of outrageous, but I took the plunge and I love it!
