My first week back at uni has flown by, and although things have been pretty easy-going academically, the challenge of dressing for uni hit me hard from day one.
When so much of your wardrobe is made up of sequins and mesh, it can make putting together a casual outfit for a day of lectures and studying a little tricky...
Looking back through some old outfit photos I found one that did what I'd been trying to do all week - successfully combine a statement piece with a more casual partner.
The statement piece in this case was my "Robo Croc" top by Garth Cook which I got at a huge discount online from Zara Bryson.
(And it's still on sale!)
I kept things quirky but casual by pairing it with some denim cut-offs, and adding my all time favourite flatforms, and some cute pompoms feat. googly eyes for earrings.
Vintage denim cut-offs
Kenzo wild platform sandals (similar available from Solestruck)
DIY googly eye earrings
Although I sometimes still struggle with my uni outfits, I think I've at least got a pretty good handle on choosing uni shoes and bags. In fact, If you head over to the UNiDAYS blog you'll find a little shoes and bags edit I did in a special guest blog for them! I would love if you would check it out!
